'97 Nissan R33 GT-R (R92CP Swapped) Build

One of the best new additions to the world of Gran Turismo is the joy of engine swaps. It’s easy to critique some of the restrictions, ambiguity, and ridiculousness of the new feature. However, there are a few swaps that are just chef’s kiss perfect. This Nissan R33 GT-R swap and build has been my 800pp money maker, especially on Sardegna. The tune is an amalgamation of several tunes I found online for either the stock R33 or the Gr.1 car the engine came from, plus my own adjustments for my driving style.

The engine is available to be swapped in the R33 or the R34. Most builds I found online went with the R34 since it is a newer car, with better technology, and a winning pedigree. Plus the R33, with maxed-out modifications, will technically get you to the same pp level. But this build is much faster simply because of the power-to-weight ratio. Check out the modifications and tune below.

The R33 is a beautiful and iconic car. This car was built for the race track so I decided to give it a racing livery. The rainbow reminded me of an 1980’s brand logo so I went with that theme adorning the body with brand logos from that era. I probably spend more time on GT designing liveries than I race.
