At Wildwood School, my role as Director of Educational Technology involved a dynamic blend of daily leadership, strategic foresight, and hands-on program development. Day-to-day, I managed a dedicated team focused on talent development, providing personalized coaching and professional learning resources to ensure faculty and staff meaningfully adopted new technologies. A significant part of my work involved directing foresight research into emerging technologies like AI and analyzing global trends; I then translated these insights into actionable strategies, often by leading cross-functional committees such as the GenAI Task Force, Computer Science, and Digital Literacy groups, ultimately shaping broader organizational policy.
I was deeply involved in designing and delivering data-driven learning programs for our diverse adult community, constantly leveraging feedback and research to refine our approach and ensure measurable impact. Key projects included architecting and launching transformative initiatives like the K-5 Futures Lab, the comprehensive Computer Science program, and a school-wide Technology Integration Scope & Sequence, all designed as scalable frameworks to drive purpose-driven technology use. Beyond these core duties, I also managed a substantial technology budget, overseeing all procurement and license negotiations, and developed a rigorous internal app vetting process that prioritized learning efficacy, user experience, system integration, and privacy. My commitment to equity was central to my role, as I co-led DEIB initiatives, including managing several affinity groups and developing targeted professional development, significantly contributing to an inclusive school culture and equity goals across the organization.
